Processing transactions with a tip included:

 A few best practices:

  • Establish policies to limit the number of key-entered transactions.  If it is occasionally necessary, make an imprint of the card for chargeback protection.
  • Batch transactions on a daily basis to ensure timely settlement and deposit to your bank account. 
  • Enter only the amount of the ticket, and then add the tip afterward to ensure your customer is charged appropriately. Typically, a transaction is authorized for the amount plus an automatic 20%.  Therefore, you want to make sure you authorize correctly by entering sale amount without tip first.

Bring payment acceptance to the point of service with a pay-at-the-table device.  Your wait staff can process the customer’s transaction at the table, giving your customer peace of mind without taking the card out of their sight.  We can assist you in finding the right solution for your processing needs.

No Signature Needed

Quick Service Restaurants and a few other business types can qualify to process transactions under $25.00 with no customer signature required.  The No Signature program improves your speed at check-out, as well as protects you against some types of chargebacks.  A printed receipt is only required if your customer requests one.  This enables you to help the environment and to lower your costs simply with reduced paper usage.
